Looking for solutions for your historic restoration project?  Give us a call, we would love to help!
Take a look at these columns!  They were part of a restoration of an old masonic building.
The owner approached us to see if saving the sides and columns of this beautiful, historic building was even possible, and after a lot of research and thought, the project was underway!
Once we met the owner on site and gathered pertinent information about the restoration, we took our measurements and knowledge of the project back to our shop where we compared the current condition of the building to historical photos of how the building, and the area, used to look back when it was originally made in the late 1800's.
From the measurements and gathered information, we were able to render a drawing of how we intended to proceed with the renovation and presented to drawings to the owner of the building.
At this point in the process, our client was able to get a visual representation of what we intended to do, and also make any desired changes to the project as a whole.
Once the drawings were rendered, we presented our finals plans to our client alongside a budget that detailed exactly what the project would cost.
During this presentation, we are able to provide multiple options to either enhance or simplify the project, based on budgetary needs as well as the vision of the completed project.
After the "go ahead" was given, we got to work!
For this project, all of the trims were cut from mahogany or walnut because of the durability of the species--which also matched the species of wood that was currently being displayed in other areas of the same building.

This particular project was an awesome learning experience as much as anything else, as most people are not privy to the fact that we have domestic hardwoods with superb weathering and longevity characteristics that are comparable to the characteristics of teak or mahogany.
