We were recently challenged with finding design solutions that fit a 2,000 bottle capacity wine room into small space inside of a home, while also delivering the quality and custom feel that Fuller Architectural Hardwoods is known for.
With that premise in mind, we decided on an old-world, distressed feel for the wine room with terra-cotta tile on the floor, a radius grotto Italian ceiling with reflected light on the ceiling itself.
All of the walls are also well-insulated and the chilling unit is properly sized for the room.
The unique storage solution for the bottles provides our client access to the label of the wine while maintaining the quality of the cork; furthermore, each cabinet has a special place for a personal note which can detail where you purchased the wine, what date, what you paid, and maybe even a favorite memory or any other pertinent information you would like to include alongside each bottle of wine.
A "wine of the day" cabinet, as well as special storage for all of your magnums, can be seen by onlooking guests from outside the wine room, through an insulated and etched glass window.
We constructed a wine preparation cabinet with drawers, doors and extra shelving for storing your glasses, wine keys, labels and anything else you may need in order to prepare your wine so that you may bring it out to your guests.
